Ten thousand pterodactyls
made of shadow-stuff

will swarm across the sky
and spin into a spiral

that will tighten to a disc
and turn into a spear

and the humans will all stop
and raise their hands above

their eyes as one and watch us
as we punch a god-damn hole
through the centre of the sun.

That’s on you.
