Chandrakanta Murasingh

Chandrakanta Murasingh was born in Twiwandal, Tripura, in 1957. He is one of the most respected poets in Tripura and has published six collections of poetry and his works have appeared in reputed journals and anthologies. He has won a number of awards including the Bhasha Samman from Sahitya Akademi in 1996 and the Rabindra Puraskar, the highest literary award of Tripura. He works in a bank and lives in Agartala.
