Home is a key fooraha, I carry in my chest;
The old house key to my guriga door.
I left one land/ard, still staying as a student,
still Melb gave my commonplace heart a little more.
Flemington Community Centre was my first location to start,
A circle where new migrants+refu linking arms as one.
Close to North Melbourne towers, shaped my heart,
leaders helped me grow under a different hospitality sun.
Past halls, my hope flowed with patience grace,
Bellair gave me fresh air on my way too.
Kensington town became a friendly space,
Like a community in one bright display.
And when that portal bab opens wide, my inner citiwest soul will say:
“Home lives in us, and guides us collectively one day.”
