Marcos Konder Reis

Marcos Konder Reis was born in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil and later moved to Rio de Janeiro. Commonly associated with the 'Generation of 45', which included poets such as Paulo Mendes Campos, Ledo Ivo and João Cabral de Melo Neto, he published more than a dozen collections of poems, as well as a number of essays and reviews. The poems translated here are taken from his 1965 collection Armadura do Amor.
