Dr Latoya Aroha Rule

Dr Latoya Aroha Rule is a Wiradjuri - First Nations and Te Ātiawa - Māori, takatāpui/queer Research Fellow, anti-torture Coalition Founder, and Board Director. They are based at the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at the University of Technology, Sydney, where they sit within both the Legal Strategies Hub and the Policy Hub. Latoya’s work responds to issues of state violence, justice, and family-led legislative reform.
