Caroline Ross

It was Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko who first brought Caroline Ross to a love of poetry; the rawness of his experience spoke to her in ways classical poets had not. While he inspired her to write, until recently, it was journalism that honed her writing experience. Having turned her hand to poetry, she has discovered it is her Australian bush heritage that offers up her favourite subjects. Ross also finds inspiration for her practise around Sydney harbour and its natural surrounds.
