TOY

They say I was made of clay
I deny it
and if those words turn out to be true
I’ll place a white rose in my mouth
swallow it like a pill
and as they pierce my throat
the rose’s thorns will tear me open
and the white rose will turn to red
and I will rip up that first story
and inside my body there will start to beat
a red rose in the eye of my chest.
