Mariam Al-Khatib is a Palestinian writer, poet, and dental student currently based in Egypt. A survivor of genocide and displacement, she uses literature as a form of resistance and a vessel for memory. Her work has appeared in We Are Not Numbers, Avery Review, This Week in Palestine, and Palestine Deep Dive. She has represented Palestinian youth at a conference in Japan and contributed to a collective short story sequence published in a collaborative book launched at the Cairo International Book Fair. She is the author of the zine The City’s Memory (Coastal Lines Press, 2025), an archival meditation on the city, illustrated by Billie Ruffian.
