About Mirranda Burton

Since graduating from art school in 1995 in South Australia, Mirranda Burton has forged pathways in independent and commercial animation, multimedia design, drawing, and printmaking. Combining a love for art and story telling she has more recently devoted herself to the medium of comics, drawing upon her own life experiences. Her first book, Hidden, was published by Black Pepper in 2011, winning an Aurealis award for best graphic novel. Hidden was also published in French under the title Cachés in 2013 by La Boîte à Bulles and is currently scheduled to be released in Portuguese by Polvo.
