Susie Walsh

Susie Walsh is a disabled and Autistic poet, writer, and filmmaker. Recent published non-fiction poems include: “Discordant” in the Solastalgia exhibition (Tuggeranong Arts Centre, 2020); “Shh-Shh” published by Rochford Street Press (Issue 33:2022); and “Rewind. Erase. Record” in the Admissions anthology (Upswell, 2022). Susie is currently working on two projects: My Broken Hearted Hill: The Songbook of a Mining Town Girlhood, an experimental meta-memoir about growing up Autistic in Broken Hill in the 1970s; and Palimpsest, a first collection of poems in response to the lived experience of drought, the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires, floods, and the existential distress of COVID-19 as a disabled writer.
