Patrick Gunasekera is a poet, playwright, arts journalist, and award-winning essayist of Sri Lankan migrant heritage, living on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. His work seeks to understand how cycles of violence are normalised, and what agency means from marginalised positions. His writing has been published in Seesaw Magazine, Australian Poetry Journal, Voiceworks, Pulch Mag, Archer Magazine, Midsumma Blog, and the anthologies Growing Up Disabled in Australia and To Hold the Clouds.
