Nora Gomringer

Nora Gomringer, born 1980, is a dual Swiss and German citizen. Her writing life has travelled between page-bound-poetry and spoken word performances. She was awarded several prizes for her work and is member of Rotary and the PEN. Nora has spent many moons in residencies all over the world. Her poetry is centered upon the theme of orality and memory. Her performances are lively, as humor is a key element in her work. Beyond the page, her words have been well received in musical and theatrical performances together with percussive Jazz legend Baby Sommer as well as others. Since 2010 she offers her organizational talents as head director of the International Artist Residency Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia at Bamberg, Germany. This is also the place she calls home lately.
