About H U Mardi Luhung

Nama asli Mardi Luhung adalah Hendry. Lahir di Gresik, 5 Maret 1965. Dia lulusan Fakultas Sastra Jurusan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Jember. Puisinya tersebar di berbagai media massa di Indonesia. Buku puisi tunggalnya: Terbelah Sudah Jantungku (1996), Wanita yang Kencing di Semak (2002), Ciuman Bibirku yang Kelabu (2007) dan Buwun (2010). Mengikuti Program Penulisan Mastera (Majelis Sastra Asia Tenggara) dalam Bidang Puisi (2002), Cakrawala Sastra Indonesia (2004), International Literary Biennale (2005) serta diundang dalam Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta XVIII/2006. Sedangkan kumpulan cerpen pertamanya: Aku Jatuh Cinta Lagi pada Istriku (2011). Dan tahun 2010 meraih Khatulistiwa Literary Award dalam bidang puisi.
H.U. Mardi Luhung was born in Gresik on 5 March 1965. He was graduated with a degree in Indonesian literature from the University of Jember. His poetry is the most well known in several mass media venues in Indonesia. His poetry collections include: Terbelah Sudah Jantungku (My Cleft Heart, 1996), Wanita yang Kencing di Semak (Woman Pissing in the Bushes, 2002), Ciuman Bibirku yang Kelabu (The Kiss of my Grey Lips, 2007) and Buwun (2010). He participated in the Masters Writing Program of the Southeast Asian Literary Council (Majelis Sastra Asia Tenggara) in 2002, the Indonesian Literary Horizons Festival (Cakrawala Sastra Indonesia) in 2004, the International Literary Biennale in 2005 and was an invitee to the 28th Yogyakarta Arts Festival in 2006. His first collection of short stories, Aku Jatuh Cinta Lagi pada Istriku (I Fell in Love Again with my Wife) was published in 2011. In 2010 he received the Khatulistiwa Literary Award for poetry.
