Leni Shilton

Leni Shilton is a poet, teacher and researcher. She grew up in Papua New Guinea and Melbourne and has lived in Alice Springs for over thirty years. She has a PhD in creative writing. Her writing is published in journals and anthologies in Australia and internationally. She has published two verse novels with UWA Publishing, Walking with camels in 2018, and Malcolm in 2019. She was a judge of the 2020 Stella Prize and appeared at the 2020 Perth Festival, Literature and Ideas Weekend. Her book Walking with camels won the 2020 NT Chief Ministers Book Award.
