Hinemoa Elder

Nō te kotiu tēnei kuaka. Dr Hinemoa Elder is a mokopuna of Te Hiku o te Ika. Hinemoa has written four best-selling books published by PRH. ‘Aroha’ (2020), ‘Wawata’ (2022), ‘Waitohu’ and ‘E Moko’ (2024). Hinemoa is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists since 2006, working at Te Hiku Hauora, as Kaiārahi Oranga Hinengaro. She is an elected member of Te Rūnanga Nui o Te Aupouri. In 2019 Hinemoa was awarded an MNZM for services to psychiatry and Māori.
