Ema Bell

Ema Bell holds an MFA from CalArts. She received a writing residency at Vermont Studio Center and was selected to be apart of the Master Class with Myriam Gurba at the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference. Her poetry has appeared in the Lavender Review and she is currently working on a collection of poetry based on race and sexuality. She resides in Los Angeles.

Sunday Picnic

brown bodies turn black on a spit skin turning crisp still alive laughter from pink mouths as the eyeballs pop and turn to liquid pieces cut and dissected for souvenirs posed pictures taken like they shot good game white children …
