Christine Godinez Ortega

Christine Godinez Ortega has a Doctor of Fine Arts degree with High Distinction from De La Salle University, Manila. Recently, she retired as full professor of Literature and Creative Writing and as Director of the Office of Publication & Information, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). She has served as Editor of the MSU-IIT publications Gazette and the Mindanao Forum, MSU-IIT’s official journal. She is a co-founder the long-time Director of the Iligan National Writers Workshop and is President of the Mindanao Creative Writers Group, Inc. She was Head of the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) National Literary Committee and was Secretary of the NCCA Sub Commission on the Arts. She has published her poetry, short fiction and journalistic articles in anthologies and other national publications and she has read her papers in conferences abroad.
