Anasuya Kamble

Anasuya Kamble is an Assistant Professor in Kannada at Karnataka University, Haveri. Her PhD was published in 2011 under the title, Adhunika Kannada Sahityada mele Ambedkarara Prabhava (The Influence of Ambedkar on Modern Kannada Literature). She has published two collections of poetry, Mullukantiya Naduve (Caught in Chapparal 2000), Mathsyagandhi Hadu (The Song of the Fisherwoman 2001) , and a short story collection Harida Pathra (The Torn Letter). She has edited numerous prose collections: Vichara Sahitya matthu Hennu (Literature of Ideology and Woman 2000), Kavithe 2008 (Poetry 2008), Belagavi Jilleya Dalitha Sahitya (The Dalit Literature of Belagavi District 2012) ). She is the recipient of eight awards so far: Inchala Award, Bhima Rathna Award, Karnataka Kala Sambrhama Award, Lalitha Devi Sindhura Endowment Fund Award and Sankramana Literature Award instituted by Christ College, Bangalore.
