Ad Astra in Three Parts

III. Far Side of the Moon
with line from Ad Astra screenplay by James Gray & Ethan Gross

the moon battles will be fought and won in silences greater than the oceans;
maybe somewhere out there in beyond galaxies the calamity will land,

our greatest destructions, our chaoses and losses—the agonies recorded for
grandmothers of ancient nebulae to host our suffering of expansion,

while we hoist spacecraft generic boxes titled “weapons” and spring new
tech at our old foes, across the Veda; Sea of Moscoviensis, recording

ourselves, new playbacks, radio waves we have heard before, names we
have uttered before:

the Lunokhods brandish a weapon

called a STILETTO sex appeal we have felt before, these moon suits
come with mirrored lenses, we want you to see the black expanse

behind you as we charge with electromagnetics and light
