Payments for Poetry Contributors

Cordite Publishing Inc., an ACNC listed not-for-profit charity and would not be able to publish Cordite Poetry Review or the Cordite Books series without your help and the support of our funding partners. Thank you for reading and submitting.

We pay contributors upon publication, and we are currently limited to paying Australian permanent residents and citizens in most cases. Invoices should include your name, date, address and bank account details. We pay via EFT only.

Rate for poetry

$100 (GST inclusive) or 6 print books of your choice (no multiple titles, as stock lasts), or 1 book and $80.

Please submit your invoice within three months of publication. If we don’t receive an invoice from you within this timeframe, your fee will be considered a donation to Cordite.

Donating your fee

We do work our behinds off to be able to pay a fair fee for creative work. However, donating your fee is always welcome, and we sincerely appreciate it.

The best way to donate your fee that helps your tax obligation is to submit an invoice to us for your published work, which Cordite pays.

Then, you’re welcome to donate it or whatever you’d like to Cordite via GiveNow. You will immediately receive a donations receipt that will help offset your obligation to the ATO.

We understand there is a little administration involved … but the more the Australian Gov’t sees evidence that poetry is cared about, the better. It does make a difference.
