Seven
I dreamt of a porpoise, never seen
one though, think it’s some kind of
dolphin. A bit of blood
came out the other day, made me flinch
a little I had almost forgotten how
my body used to operate before that metal
T hooked itself into my pink uterus.
Things in the wrong places make me
upset. But all I have to think about now is
placing my feet in their cautious shoes and
trying new things like a persimmon, then phoning
my parents to ask why they never gave me one
before. Afterwards I will spend the rest of
the afternoon watching honeysuckle
smoke moving steadily away from
my new glass stained-yellow
ashtray.
