Zola Gonzalez-Macarambon

Zola Gonzalez-Macarambon is a writer and teacher from Cagayan de Oro, Northern Mindanao. She earned her AB English (magna cum laude) and MA English at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan. Her poetry has been published in various publications, recently appearing in Tingog Nanay (2017, University of San Agustin) and Best of Dagmay 2 (2016, Ateneo de Davao University), Yes, Poetry, Misfit Magazine, The Literary Yard, Dead Snakes and Zombie Logic Review among others. Her short story was Highly Commended at the 2016 Monash Short Story Competition. Her work was also featured in Peril's Asian-Australian Arts and Culture, 10th anniversary Asians to Watch Out for issue. She is currently studying at Monash University (Australia), working towards a PhD in Film, Media & Communications.
