Yashika Graham

Yashika Graham is a Jamaican writer and poet. Her poems have been accepted by magazines including The Caribbean Writer, POUi, Spillway, Moko Magazine. She has covered arts and culture for Susumba Magazine and read in Jamaica, United States, United Kingdom, Venezuela and Panama. She is an alumna of the Drawing Room Project’s 2016 Writers’ Retreat under the tutelage of Prof. Emeritus Edward Baugh. A gold medal recipient in the 2016 JCDC Creative Writing competition, Graham is working on her first collection, and in 2016, released a short film presenting the title poem, Directions From The Border. She is an executive member of the Poetry Society of Jamaica and has hosted its monthly poetry fellowships.
