Susanne Kennedy

Susanne Kennedy is a Melbourne-based poet, who has lived in Tasmania, New Zealand and Central America. Her poetry mainly takes its inspiration from close observation of the natural world. Susanne has won the American Association of Australasian Literary Studies (AAALS) award and the Nillumbik Poetry prize (open). She has been shortlisted for the Bridport Poetry Prize and the Australian Catholic University Poetry Prize (twice). Her work has appeared in Antipodes, Rabbit, Westerly, Eureka Street and a Hunter Valley Writer's Centre anthology.
