Siwar Masannat

Siwar Masannat is a Jordanian writer. Masannat is the author of two books: 50 Water Dreams, selected by Ilya Kaminsky as the winner of the Cleveland State University First Book Prize in 2015, and cue: poems, forthcoming from Georgia Review Books/University of Georgia Press in 2024. Masannat's poetry and criticism have been recently published, or are forthcoming, in Jacket2, Bennington Review, Mïtra, and Fence, among several others. Masannat holds a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and is currently serving as Managing Editor of the African Poetry Book Fund and Prairie Schooner.
