Simon Armitage

Simon Armitage has published eleven collections of poetry, most recently The Unaccompanied (2017, Faber UK, Knopf US). A broadcaster, novelist, non-fiction writer and song-lyricist, his play The Last Days of Troy was performed at Shakespeare's Globe in 2012 and his translation of the medieval poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight has sold over one hundred thousand copies worldwide. He is professor of poetry at the University of Leeds and in 2015 was elected Oxford Professor of Poetry.
