Sergej Timofejev

Sergej Timofejev was born in Riga, Latvia in 1970 to a family of Russian origin. He sees himself as a Latvian poet, but has close connections to the modern literary scene in Russia. He is an author of seven books of poetry (four of them were published in Riga and three in St. Petersburg and Moscow). At poetry readings, he often uses music or videos as an accompaniment to his poems, but first and foremost is the word.
