Russell Buzby

Russell Buzby lives and writes at Braidwood, in the southern tablelands of New South Wales, on the unceded Country of the Ngunnawal and Yuin peoples. He turns out with the local bushfire brigade when the pager goes, and most of what he writes circles back to the same handful of things: the land, the people on it, and what fire and weather do to both. When it strays, it strays towards myths or the picket line, and sometimes both at once. This is among the first poems he has sent out into the world.
