Olivia Slater

Olivia Slater is a Whadjuk Noongar and Badimia Yamatji writer and researcher, currently finishing up their PhD at the University of Cambridge. They have completed Community Arts Networks Kep Koorliny Poetry writing course in 2020, Yirra Yaakin’s Which Way? First Nations Poetry writing course in 2021 and was recently awarded the WA Poetry Inc's inaugural Blak Write's David Starr Memorial Prize. Olivia’s community connections stretch from Boorloo up to Coodingnow and they come from a long line of enduring and talented writers and storytellers.
