Melanie Weckert

Melanie Weckert is a former environmental microbiologist, living in Merimbula, on the lands of the Djiringanj people on the far south coast of NSW. Her short story, Bus, was shortlisted for the Hilarie Lindsay Prize, 2026. Her poems have been published in Australian-Poetry-Digital 1, Four-W-Writing; 34-to-37 Degrees South, Brushstrokes, and now, Cordite. Two of her poems were shortlisted for the SCWC Poetry Award, 2026.
