Madeleine Stack

Madeleine Stack is an artist and writer. Their writing has been published in Hotel, BOMB, aqnb, Another Gaze, Salt, un magazine and Doggerland. In 2019, 'Portable Monument', their longform audio essay on intimacy across hemispheres, was commissioned by ICA and the BBC for UK national radio broadcast. Recent exhibitions include 'How are you still clean?' at Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), 'Death Drive' at Outer Space (Brisbane), 'Fatal Softness' at The Koppel Project (London) and screenings, performances and readings at LUX Moving Image, The Southbank Centre, Peer Gallery, Gossamer Fog (all London), and Eastside Projects (Birmingham). They have given lectures at the Royal College of Art, UK, and Kaunas Artists House, Lithuania, and are co-editor of Canal, a bilingual publication of politics and poetics.
