Kimrey Anna Batts

Kimrey Anna Batts grew up in rural East Tennessee and studied Anthropology and Latin American Studies at the University of Michigan. She moved to Ecuador in 2006, where her lifelong love of literature and language gradually blossomed into a career in translation. In 2011 she moved to Barcelona to complete an MA in Literary Translation at Universitat Pompeu Fabra before returning to Quito in 2013. Her literary translations (one of which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize) have appeared in publications such as The Brooklyn Rail, Lunch Ticket, The Bitter Oleander.

Santiago Vizcaíno’s ‘Porn Verse’

Santiago Vizcaíno (1982 —) was born in Quito, Ecuador. He studied degrees in Literature at the Catholic Pontifical University of Ecuador (PUCE) and the University of Málaga, and currently serves as the Director of the PUCE Center for Publications. He has published three books of poetry, one short story collection, and a book-length study on Argentine poet Alejandra Pizarnik.
