Kim Minjeong

Kim Minjeong was born in Incheon in 1976. She holds degrees in Literature and Creative Writing (Chung-Ang University), and made her literary debut in 1999 after receiving the New Literature Award. She has published a number of collections of poetry, including 날으는 고슴도치 아가씨,그녀가 처음, 느끼기 시작했다, 아름답고 쓸모없기를, 너의 거기는 작고 나의 여기는 커서 우리들은 헤어지는 중입니다, and a collection of essays, 각설하고. Her books have received the Park In-Hwan Literary Award, the Hyundai Award, and the Lee Sang-Hwa Poetry Award. In 2016, Poems of Kim Yideum, Kim Haengsook & Kim Min Jeong, translated by Jiyoon Lee, Don Mee Choi, Jake Levine and Johannes Göransson, was published in Australia (Vagabond Press), and in 2020 Beautiful and Useless, translated by Soeun Seo and Jake Levine, was published in America (Black Ocean). She manages 문학동네시인선의, and works with the Korean literary publisher Nanda.
