Joel Sedano

Joel Sedano (they/them) is a queer, trans non-binary poet, performer, photographer, and scholar. They are Xicanx and reconnecting with their Indigenous roots in Western Guanajuato. Joel currently resides in Manhataan, the unceded homelands of the Munsee Lenape, Wappinger, and Schaghticoke Tribes. They are in their final semester in the MFA Writing program at Columbia University. Joel’s work has been featured in numerous publications including recently in Olney Magazine and Honey Literary Magazine. They co-founded the writing group, Writers’ Building Blocks, and hopes to expand it into a literary press and journal for 2SQTBIPOC artists and writers.
