Jakob Boyd

Jakob Boyd is a young poet from Perth. His work has featured in student magazines Grok and Trove and in local blog Uneven Floor. A WA Poetry Slam finalist in 2012, he has featured at and hosted local events Spoken Word Perth and Perth Poetry Club as 'The Laundry Man'. Jakob runs The Department of Poetry; a zine for young and experimental poets and recently wrote, directed and performed in Howl, Yawn a stage presentation and contemporary reinvention of Allen Ginsberg's epic as well as underwent 'Laundry Week' where he wrote 10 poems a day for 7 days. He wears a tattered red coat and likes Doctor Who and punk music.
