Jake Dennis

Jake Dennis is a jazz singer, poet and freelance journalist. Art Monthly Australia, Cottonmouth, Creatrix, dotdotdash, Landscapes, Page Seventeen, Sitelines, Studio, Vibewire, Voiceworks, and Wet Ink have published his poetry. He won the Now & Then: Literature Prize and was a Young Writer-in-Residence at the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Centre. He has been an invited guest of WA Poets Inc’s Poetry Festival, Perth Poetry Club, the Peter Cowan Writers Centre, Twin Cities Radio, and Voicebox. He is the front man for Mint Jazz Band and has performed regularly. He has a BA (Communication and Cultural Studies) from Curtin University and works at UWA’s School of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as part of the New Approaches To Teaching team.
