Ian Wicks

Ian Wicks is a medical academic from Melbourne, and a recent convert to after hours poetry. A series of poems on medical themes, including on the five senses, have appeared this year in Journal of the American Medical Association and several others have been published in Annals of Internal Medicine. ‘In a heartbeat’ was shortlisted for the Australian Science Poetry Prize in 2013 and ‘The visible human’ was selected for the Australian Poetry Journal’s Anthology in 2015.
