Fiona Graham

Fiona Graham was born in rural England, and has also lived in Kenya, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium and Nicaragua. Her first book translation, of Karin Bojs’s My European Family: the First 54,000 Years, came out in March at Bloomsbury Sigma, and her translation of Elisabeth Åsbrink’s 1947: Where Now Begins is due out this November at Scribe Publications. When not translating, editing or reviewing, she enjoys singing with a Latin American choir.

Petrus Augustus de Génestet’s ‘Peaen to the Netherlands’

P A de Génestet lost both of his parents at a very young age. He studied at the Amsterdamse Atheneum and the Seminarium der Remonstrantse Broederschap to become a preacher in March, 1852.
