‘Who am I and who could I be?’: Kathleen Thomas in conversation with S. Shakthidharan

Shakthi’s process has always been rooted in discovery, honouring stories and community truths that have been purposefully hidden, rather than fulfilling a historical burden. “Regardless of what the industry says, if audiences love good characters and stories that they connect with, they’ll want to hear it again and again. Art should honour the multiplicity of perspectives that exist within history and stories should too.”
