Mirte Meeus

Mirte Meeus is a writer and a poet. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and an MA in Sociology from the University of Tilburg. She is the winner of the 2020 Janklow&Nesbit prize. In her work, she explores expressions of inequality and otherhood, and the dynamics between expectation versus compassion. Through voicing these experiences, she aims to soften their edges. She splits her time between Breda (The Netherlands) and Dresden (Germany).
