Aaji tomay aabaar chai shonabare

Today I wish again to sing to you
That which I have sung before
The chord that has struck a note
In my soul amidst showers incessant

Do not seek a reason
Nor fathom any meaning
Signs of melodies awaken
From reserves of anguish

Those notes that sound out 
In dreams from time to time
In your ears will I murmur
Under cover of dark clouds
Aaji tomay aabaar chai shonabare

আজি   তোমায় আবার চাই শুনাবারে
যে কথা শুনায়েছি বারে বারে॥
     আমার পরানে আজি   যে বাণী উঠিছে বাজি
              অবিরাম বর্ষণধারে॥
কারণ শুধায়ো না, অর্থ নাহি তার,
সুরের সঙ্কেত জাগে পুঞ্জিত বেদনার।
     স্বপ্নে যে বাণী মনে মনে   ধ্বনিয়া উঠে ক্ষণে ক্ষণে
          কানে কানে গুঞ্জরিব তাই
                   বাদলের অন্ধকারে॥
