‘Whoa… Rainbow…’ continues explorations from her solo exhibition Pattern Clasher at Art Collective WA. Masking tape is woven, wrapped and decoupaged, elevating it from masking-off to ‘paint’. Nature in its bursts of colour and pattern – greenery, flowers, animals and especially the delight of experiencing a rainbow or two, interlink into a process-driven ornamental weaving. The title and inspiration comes from the viral video by Yosemitebear62, Mountain Double Rainbow from 2010.
