Maddox Gifford is a writer, an editor, and an activist first & foremost. After spending seven years studying in Naarm, Maddox has returned to reluctant Novocastrian roots and is taking some time at home, on Worimi and Awabakal lands, to recover from chronic burnout—alongside five siblings, a poetically-inclined fishmonger father, and four cats. Thus far, this convalescence has comprised copious amounts of sleep, countless episodes of Star Trek, and endless games of furniture tetris in yet another garage-cum-bedroom. Also, nostalgic rereads of childhood classics. Maddox identifies as queer, chaotic, and anti-capitalist in both the political and poetic sense.
