Abdul-Rahman Abdullah attended the Victorian College of the Arts then Curtin University and graduated with a BA in 2012. In 2013 he was the West Australian recipient of the Qantas Foundation Encouragement of Australian Contemporary Art Award. In 2014 he was awarded an Art and Australia / Credit Suisse Contemporary Art Award and won the Fishers Ghost Sculpture Award. He has been a finalist in the Wynne Prize, Blake Prize, Churchie Emerging Artist Prize and the Deakin Small Sculpture Prize. Abdullah’s work has been exhibited recently at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and the Art Gallery of South Australia. He is held in the collections of Artbank, Islamic Museum of Australia, Campbelltown Art Centre, Murdoch University, Wesfarmers and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
