Mycoforms: A family of invented biomimetic forms

Through Frankie’s Fur
A bifurcating hymenial mycoform: a poem bifurcating in visual presentation, syntax, thematic recursion, and associative memory.

                                                                  warmth
                                                 filled with love
I run my hand through Frankie’s fur
and lament and where we were
                                                              memories of you
                                                                                               when I last saw you
                                                                                                            where you are now
                                                                                                                         who you’re with

Histories in a puddle of sunlight
                                                                       sharing on the covers
a long spotty noodle of a greyhound and you sprawled out with her
                                                   sprawled out on the bed
a mess of tangled legs intertwined
                                                                                                                         in your arms

looked at you in your safety
how she rolled over showed you softness
how soft you were with her exposed her pink belly
                                                 and with me
                                                                 always gentle
                                                                            always welcome in your company
                                                                                                  in your arms
                                                                                                               your eyes

                                                     around my shoulders
                                      warm and gentle
                              your hands around her ribs
                                        silent
                                       around nothing they were gone
                                                             by then
