Oh, Jen, it's really interesting to see another version of our renga!

Since we have all the comments left on the original pages, you can pick out your favorite ku to create your own version. Don't you think it's exciting that many different versions could be born from the same process? In on-the-spot renga (renku) all the good ku that are not chosen will be lost. I wonder how many superb ku in the history of our haikai are gone forever read only once!

I have dipped in and out of this AustralinternationoJapaneezexperiment, quizzical, enchanted and bemused.

Because I have wicked urges, I have constructed a my/edit of "Haikunaut Island Renga"

eternal doldrums

on the Sea of Tranquility

all night

the humpbacks

speak of love

my hand on the rock

no space

for a shadow

children laugh

unafraid of the past

in the summer grass

on a city tram

opening to Han Shan's

distances

cold mountain range

plays hidden music

hunting truffles

the sow

cannot help herself

the streets are empty now

rumble of a tank

after midnight

it all goes

topsy-turvy

morning meditation

a crow disrupts my shadow

our postman arrives -

pitter-patter tin drum

Origa san, David sensei,

Thank you for your nice renga.

It is very fresh born of new poetic play.

Just fun and enjoyable!

Congratulation of happy ending of your trial.
