Top Search Strings for March 2008

We've been remiss in recent … oh, years … by not publishing details of the most popular search strings each month. In fact, we stopped doing this way back in 2006, probably because we were getting sick of deleting all the references to a certain royal and his on-again off-again girlfriend, hits for whom were skewing our ability to say “hey, we're popular, and relevant'.

Well, that's all in the past now, mostly because with the new WordPress blog stats program, we can sort through the guff and head straight for the good stuff. So, without further ado, below are the most popular search terms typed into search engines which lead readers to the Cordite site.

We should stress that these are just a handful of the total number of search strings recorded, and it would be remiss of us not to mention some other real gems, including “examples of poetry explosions” and our favourite, “simple australian poems with meaning”. About David Prater


David Prater is Cordite's managing editor. He holds a BA from the University of Sydney, an MA from the University of Melbourne and a PhD from Swinburne University of Technology. His first poetry colllection, We Will Disappear, was published by papertiger media in 2007, and Vagabond Press published his chapbook Morgenland in the same year. His poetry has appeared in a wide range of Australian and international journals, and he has performed his work at festivals in Australia, Japan, Bulgaria, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands and Macedonia. He has also undertaken two writers’ residencies in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and has worked extensively as a teacher, editor and researcher. He currently lives in Karlskrona, Sweden where he is undertaking post-doctoral research on electronic literature and pedagogy at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola.
