Well, to be exact, submissions for Cordite #27 Experience closed last Friday 31 August (we're still debating whether or not that means 12 midnight AEST – whatevs). All submissions have now been checked, anonymised and zipped for delivery to our guest poetry editor, Tony Birch. Yippee! This issue we received a 50% increase in the number of poets submitting their work. To tell the truth, we're kind of blown away by the response.

Thanks to everyone who sent us their work, and we'll hopefully be getting back to you within the next month or so. If, however, those four weeks rolls around and you still haven't heard anything, please don't panic. And please don't send us stressed emails enquiring as to the status of your submission. You'll just need to trust us, for now. We expect to notify all contributors of their fate some time in October. Experience will appear online in December 2007.
