Cordite Poetry Review rejoices at the impending release of its 20th issue, SUBMERGED! Expect to be thrown in at the deep end on December 8 when we present a whole catch's worth of poems by exciting contemporary voices, several pounds of book reviews, images to trick your eye and features on which to nibble, including a special article by James Stuart on visual poetry.
To celebrate the release of #20 and to cap off what's been a productive year for Cordite, we?ll be holding special Christmas drinks on WEDNESDAY 8TH DECEMBER at the Victorian Writers Centre, Melbourne (IST FLOOR NICHOLAS BUILDING, 33 SWANSTON STREET CITY) starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm.
Free wine, beer and snacks will be provided plus there will be readings by three Cordite editors:
Ivy Alvarez on a flying visit from the UK!
Sean M. Whelan on a flying visit from the nearest party!
Carlie Lazar on a flying visit from Hot Soup Girl world!
We'll also be making some special announcements as to Cordite's future plans.
